With regards to this Saturday’s fixtures which now coincide with when England are to play their quarter-final match, WWCBA have agreed this is an event which attracts many of our bowlers. It has therefore been agreed by management that games affected may be postponed and rearranged.
Ideally clubs could arrange to bring this Saturdays fixture forward to an earlier start time, or later after the World Cup game should both clubs agree, but because of the all-ready tight fixture list and programme of county, merit events it has been decided that clubs will have up to and including Saturday, August 25th to re-arrange this fixture.
By selecting this date, this gives clubs the potential to use one of the 3 Saturdays that are free from fixtures in July and August, those dates are 21st and 28th July (All-Britain day) and Saturday 25th August. There are also a number of Sunday’s that may be free from competitive bowls.
- The revised date agreed between the respective clubs must be sent to the Fixtures Secretary before the end of July or as soon as the new date has been agreed.
- The revised date may be any time of day to suit the individual clubs.
